After 13 years of passion, purpose, and perseverance, I’m officially beginning the process of closing LadyRen’s Bakery & Books.
It all started with a batch of lemon bars and one children’s book under the name LadyRen’s Nook – Tastee Treats & Children’s Books. When my dream of opening a storefront was unexpectedly derailed by a baseball stadium construction, I didn’t give up. I pivoted. I rebranded. I rebuilt. And LadyRen’s Bakery & Books was born.
We grew through failure, loss, doubt, and exhaustion. When outside support faded, belief held me steady. And when coaches and advisors told me to “focus on just one thing,” I chose to trust myself. I wasn’t building a hustle — I was building a lifestyle business. One rooted in meaning, wellness, creativity, and impact. And I made it happen.
Now it’s time to close this chapter. But this isn’t the end of the story — just the end of my chapter. A new owner is stepping in, with a new name and their passion. I’m excited to support them in writing what’s next.
As we wind down, here’s what you should know:

Takeaway:
You don’t need everyone to believe in your vision — just enough confidence to listen to your own voice.
Your business can reflect your values, your pace, and your path, even if others don’t get it.
And when the time comes to let go, you can do it with grace and gratitude.
Thank you for being part of this journey. The story continues..
